Pizza & Spinach? Oh yes!!

A cocinar!

Today I want to show you a very easy recipe, and whatsmore, using spinach, which is rich in vitamin A, E, iodine and antioxidants. I used to hate this vegetable when I was younger, and now I have to admit I like how it tastes, but if I see it cooked on the plate it's green color is so intense that I end up having mixed feelings; I like the taste but my brain is thinking "something so green can't be good" and I am unable continue eating! So, with this recipe we will camouflage them a litle bit! Try it if you have children at home! Let's cook!

Ingredientes

base de pizza precocinada
manojo de espinacas frescas
1 cebolla
1 pimiento rojo
1 loncha de jamón
queso tipo mozzarela, al gusto
1 lata de atún
sal y aceite de oliva

Ingredients

pre-baked pizza crust
bunch of fresh spinach
1 onion
1 red pepper
1 ham slice
mozzarella or similar cheese, as much as you want
1 tuna can
salt and olive oil

Let's get ready
- Chop the onion in julienne and start cooking it slowly with a litle bit of olive oil and salt.
- Chop the red pepper and add it to the onion when soft.
- Clean very very well the spinach (it usually contains a lot of dirt) and cut them.
- Meanwhile, keep an eye on the vegetables so that they don't burn!
- Turn on the oven, 180ºC.

Continue with the spinach mix
- Add the spinach once the onion and pepper are soft. Stir.
- In a couple of minutes you'll see that the spinach volume gets reduced; add the tuna. Believe me, I was one of those who never mixed tuna, a "only for a mixed salad" girl, and now I love this combination!
- Keep stirring until the spinach is well done (soft and wrinkled!)

What about the pre-baked crust?
- While we have the spinach mix cooking, put the crust into the oven about 5 minutes so it gets crunchy.

Montaje

Assembly
- Prepare the ham and cheese slices.
- Get out the crust from the oven, and put a spinach base.
- Ham and cheese as topping, and back to the oven until it's cooked "au gratin" (learning english words for cooking...haha!)

Can you believe that we were so hungry that I didn't take a final photo? I promise we didn't burn it....haha Will you try it?
